European coaches under the flagship of Godson Sports Management Company are set to unveil a list of young players who will benefit from a training sponsorship.

The seven coaches have been in Mombasa for the last three days to scout for talent under the age of 13-16 who will then enjoy training in European academies for free as they seek to build their football career.

In collaboration with Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Mombasa branch, the county government department of youth and sports and Talanta Bora Sports, they conducted a three-day tournament at Mombasa Sports Club where about seven players were identified.

According to Beatrice Gambo, director Talanta Bora said the initiative will see a number of local youth selected and taken to an academy in Europe where they will be nurtured. This was the second event after a similar one was done in Nairobi where five players were selected.

“The reason why we invited the coaches here is because we have a lot of talents in Mombasa but many of the talents end up being wasted, we want to see boys benefit from this talent searching initiative,” said Gambo.

The selection process was done through a tournament that saw about 24 teams from the entire coastal reign participating where the scouters from Uk,Belgium and Turkey embarked on identifying talents.
