Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has announced recruitment of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination assessors.

KNEC Chief Executive Officer, Dr David Njengere (pictured) said the Commission is recruiting secondary school teachers and college tutors as assessors for KCSE oral and practical papers between June 6 and July 28.

“The selected professionals will be trained on the job during assessment of the 2023 KCSE papers. Teachers or tutors who are already in the KNEC database of assessors need not to apply,” said Njengere, in a public notice.

Professionals will be recruited as KCSE assessors in Power Mechanics, Electricity, Aviation Technology, French, German and Arabic Oral, Kenya Sign Language (KSL) signing practical as well as Music practical.

To apply for recruitment, a candidate must be a practicing tutor in the relevant subjects, must be registered or employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or a recognised professional body.

They should also have a diploma and above in Education or in the relevant areas of specialisation, must have a minimum of three years teaching experience and recommended by their respective Heads of institution.
