United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party on Saturday announced that it will conduct a fresh nomination exercise in some select constituencies and wards across the country on Tuesday, April 19.

In a statement, UDA’s National Elections Board (NEB) chairman Anthony Mwaura said the party has also planned to solve all disputes that arose from the national nomination exercise held in 36 counties on Thursday, April 14.

Wards that also witnessed chaos and massive irregularities will also have a second chance to select their preferred UDA candidates.

These include Biashara Ward in Nakuru Town East Constituency, all wards in Bumula, Mt. Elgon, Malava, Lugari, Likuyani, Turkana East and Turkana Central constituencies.

Others are Mahiga and Endarasha Ward in Nyeri Town Constituency as well as Kibiricha, Kisima, Ruiri/Rwarera, Ntima East, Nyaki East, Nyaki West, Akirang’ondu, Mwanganthia, Abothoguchi, West, Nkomo, Nkuene, Abogeta East, Abogeta West and Akachiu wards in Meru County.

“All Aspirants are reminded to maintain peace and ensure that the nominations are conducted in an environment that is conducive to the values and principles enunciated by the UDA Party Constitution,” Mwaura added.

Successful candidates are expected to be presented with the final nomination certificates from April 23 to April 25.
