Grandpa, son charged with incest for raping 11-year-old girl

An elderly man and his son who were on Wednesday arrested on accusation of incest and defiling an 11-year-old girl have been detained for at least a week.
The order was issued by a Machakos court on Thursday, July 30, to allow police to conclude investigations into the sex abuse case.
The two, 70-year-old James Muia and 28-year-old Benjamin Mutinda Muia, were presented before Senior Resident Magistrate Brenda Bartoo and charge with incest and inappropriate touching of a minor as well as defilement.
The duo denied the charges and will remain at the Kathiani Police Station as police tie up loose ends in their investigation.
They will be presented again in court between August 4 and 6th.
