Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang’s father dies

The family of Homabay Senator Moses Kajwang and his Brother TJ Kajwang (MP Ruaraka) is mourning the death of their father.

Mzee David Ajwang Nyakwamba died on Wednesday evening.

Nyakwamba is lucky since his three sons have served in the Kenyan parliament and one is a serving Ward Representative in Nakuru County.

In a Facebook post, Senator Kajwang said that his father had rested.

“The Patriarch has rested. Mzee David Ajwang’ Nyakwamba. May your soul wait in peace Japuonj!” The post read in part.

“To all my friends, I have lost my Dad this evening!” it further read.

Until his death, Mzee Nyakwamba was a devoted Christian a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Many Kenyans joined the family in mourning Nyakwamba on Twitter and Facebook.

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu said “My deepest condolences to Homabay Senator Moses Otieno Kajwang and Ruaraka Legislator TJ Kajwang as you mourn the loss of your father Mwalimu Ajwang’ Nyakwamba. To the entire Nyakwamba family, Mungu awafariji wakati huu mugumu. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”

Former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero said “My deep and heartfelt condolences to Hon Moses Kajwang and Hon TJ Kajwang for the loss of your father JAPUONJ AJWANG’ NYAKWAMBA.”

Ascon Kamili said “Very sincere condolences.”

Joash Tai said “I know mzee Nyakwar Nyakwamba, thank God for the years He gave him to share with us. Poleni. May Japuonj Rip.”

Nancy Anyango said “My deepest condolences, may you find strength and comfort. It is well.”

In December 2019, the two brothers who are vocal politicians and members of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) also lost their mother Dorcas Ajwang.

Ajwang died in Kisumu after battling pneumonia for months.

The family in November 2014 lost Otieno Kajwang who was serving in the Kenyan Senate. Kajwang an orator was the political pillar in the family.
