Former Homa Bay Woman Representative candidate Mollyn Ngala has urged her supporters to accept the election of Joyce 'Bensouda' Osogo to ensure she delivers on her mandate.

Speaking at her home in Rangwe during a meeting to thank her agents and supporters, Ngala urged her supporters to remain calm despite ridicule from a section of the political divide.

"However much we will be laughed at, let us remain calm and give the elected Woman Representative easy time to work," she said.

Ngala, who ran on an independent ticket in the August 9 general election, said her victory was postponed adding that she lives to fight another day.

"Let us give a chance to those who got the opportunity to serve our people as they promised however I want to assure you that our focus is still on, we will never lose hope," Ngala added.

She pledged to keep the new county leaders in check to ensure they deliver their promises to the residents.

"As a county, we need change to ensure our people benefit from the devolution," she stated.

"I will remain the voice for the voiceless. I will support the good but I will also oppose the bad. I will ensure that the dreams and vision I had for the people are achieved," she promised while alleging electoral malpractice in the August 9 polls.

The ODM party clinched the Governor, Woman Representative, Senator, all eight Parliamentary and 34 out of 40 MCA seats in the just concluded polls.

However, former Homa Bay Governor candidate Evans Kidero has moved to the High Court to challenge the election of Gladys Wanga as governor.

Wanga was declared as the duly elected Homa Bay Governor after garnering 244,559 votes against Kidero's 152,184.

Kidero, who claims to have been rigged out, says he was expecting 225,000 votes as per results received from his agents.
