I was chased away from Switzerland while pregnant – Akothee
Kenyan musician and philanthropist Esther Akoth alias Akothee opened up on how she was thrown out of Switzerland by her then lover.
The 'Sweet Love' hitmaker revealed that her then lover chased her away while she was nine months pregnant, despite having three kids in Kenya.
Even after seeking help from her friends in Europe, no advice made sense to her.
Akothee's sweetheart commanded her to go back to Africa as he was not ready to settle with her.
"Go back to Africa. I have no time, energy or family to take care of you. I am not ready for a family now. You have too many children, and a man cannot fall in love at 50," said the singer in a long Facebook post while quoting what her lover told her.
From the advice that she gathered from her friends, she weighed options on whether to throw her passport away or to take legal action against the lover.
Even that time when life seemed to crumble for her, Akothee felt too ambitious to seek sympathy from people.
Akothee further revealed the irony of some women still jealous of the falsity that she was doing well abroad.
Some of the jealous women even cohabited with one of her baby daddies, revealed Akothee.
In her dream to live abroad, the singer says she could have missed the path that God destined for her.
Not fascinated by her 'Europe dream' anymore, Akothee ends the post by advising people to face their challenges.
