At the same time, the county boss lauded the officers who are camping in the county in preparation of Madaraka day celebrations for dishing out army biscuits to the locals.

On his part, MP Mukunji sensetionally said he had heard that biscuits were circulating within Embu and especially in his constituency saying it was a good move for his people to have a taste of the biscuits .

He gave accolades to the disciplined forces for relating well with the people of Embu.

"I have heard you have been sharing army biscuits with my people. I know those biscuits are sweet and I would also want to have some," Mukunji said amid laughter.

However, Embu governor Cecily Mbarire doubled the laughter when she laughed at Mukunji saying the biscuits are not for the men but for the girls.

"Mheshimiwa Mukunji biscuits are not for men. The biscuits are for girls not for men. Let the girls have biscuits, "Mbarire said.

There has been fuss on social media with locals in the county saying they have been able to taste the biscuits.

The officers who collaborated with the leaders in the tree planting exercise planted 3,000 trees in the Njukiri forest.

The initiative was also lauded by George Kareithi who is the director of Camp Ndunda Falls saying it will improve the tourist attraction in the forest that has been a hub of activities.

He said they will continue with the initiative in the forest in order to achieve the intended forest cover that the government is targeting.
