Kenyan lawyer Patrick Otieno (PLO) Lumumba has wondered how some presidential aspirants have been in the game for years and are still in the race to succeed president Uhuru in the 2022 general elections.

Heading to the 2022 general elections, Lumumba believes Kenyans should wake up and change the nature of politics in the country to improve the quality of their lives.

“We have individuals who refuse to leave the stage. They danced from 1992 up to date, and they are stating that they will dance better in 2022," he stated.

Lumumba criticised the manner in which Kenyans are easily wavered by politicians who come with empty promises during the electioneering periods but end up delivering hot air.

The city lawyer also took the opportunity to urge President Uhuru Kenyatta to restore discipline within the government and be firm in his quest for change.

According to Lumumba, Uhuru should stamp his authority by restoring discipline within the government and its ministries for him to secure his 10-year legacy.

“In these last days of his presidency, he should be remembered as the President who, in the midst of pandemic and difficulties, restored discipline," Lumumba said.

PLO Lumumba was speaking during an interview with a local TV station.
