Celebrated gospel musician Jimmy Gait is grieving his friend who succumbed to cancer misdiagnosis.

The 'Muhadhara' hitmaker met the friend in India when he was receiving treatment for cancer where they were admitted to the same hospital.

They met briefly as Gait describes in a YouTube video and both were victims of cancer misdiagnosis that has exposed the incompetence in Kenya's health sector.

"As you can see, the title of the broadcast is mourning," started Gait while thanking his fans.

In the nearly 10-minute video, the emotional gospel singert sobs as he describes the misdiagnosis menace which has robbed him of his newfound friend.

Similar to him, the unnamed Nakuru man had been misdiagnosed in Kenya as a stage-four cancer patient. In the video, Gait says that Kenya has lost a great brain as the man was a professor.

"There is this case of the Nakuru man who had been treated for malaria sijui typhoid and so many other diseases only to be found with stage four cancer," said the musician.

Exactly a week after the musician jetted back into the country from India, Gait started an online petition seeking to punish unscrupulous doctors who intentionally misdiagnose cancer patients in order to make money of their misery.

The online petition has been signed by 3,081 people and the singer hopes to present it before Parliament.
