The ruling Jubilee Party on Thursday concluded consultations and consensus talks among competing Kajiado aspirants with a single candidate picked for respective elective positions.

It was agreed that former Kajiado West MP Moses Ole Sakuda will be the party senator position flagbearer in Kajiado after county Speaker Johnson Osoi dropped his bid in his favour.

Marina Kelly (Kajiado East), Joseph Simel (Kajiado West) , Parsimei Gitau (Kajiado North) and John Parit (Kajiado South) will fly the MP position ticket in the respective areas.

Simayiai Rakita was fronted for the Woman Representative position with her opponent Eve Merin dropped.

According to the party's Deputy Programs Coordinator Peter Mositet, the consensus talks were geared toward averting fallouts.

Mositet says the mutual talks and engagements of the aspirants were key in ensuring that the party becomes more united.

"As Jubilee, we are keen on using consensus among our aspirants to ensure we front a strong team in the August polls. The process is mutual and involves all the aspirants.

"The party has no preferred candidate and that is why we bring all the competing aspirants in round-table conversations to agree as a team," Mositet said.

The consensus was also reached on the member of the county assembly seats.

If the process is not contested, the Jubilee lineup in Kajiado is now complete with former Kajiado governor David Nkedianye being the governor position flag bearer.

Nkedianye has already picked Joseph Manje (Kajiado North MP) as his running mate.
