K24 Tv news anchor Anjlee Ghadhvi has died after a long battle with cancer.

Ghadhvi succumbed to lung cancer at the Aga Khan Hospital at 3:15pm on Friday, January 10.

The journalist was first diagnosed with liver cancer in April 2014, when she was expecting her second child.

Ghadhvi underwent a liver transplant after the cancerous cells kept on recurring two years after she began chemotherapy.

K24 Tv head of Tv and Digital, Peter Opondo, mourned her as a committed person who rarely missed work even while undergoing treatment.

“Oh my friend @AnjleeGadhvi, you fought that cancer beast with all your might. You did it for your kids, husband. Never lost hope. You always smiled through the pain and insisted on coming to work even at your weakest points. We believed you were winning…until now! RIP my friend,” tweeted Opondo.

Anjlee Ghadhvi is survived by her husband and two daughters aged 10 and 5.

May her soul rest in peace.
