Kempinski to serve gold-flavoured coffee
You may refer it to luxury inside luxury. Villa Rosa Kempinski will now offer coffee made of gold to cost Sh5,500 a cup, only.
The gold cappuccino is made from Kenyan grown coffee then topped up with 24-carat pure gold flakes. The gold cappuccino will be served in a golden cup.
Kempinski becomes the first hotel in Africa to serve gold coffee. Some luxury hotels in Dubai already have it where it retails from USD $26 according to Pursuisit.
"We are delighted to offer our guests a chance to indulge in a delightful Cappuccino sprinkled with a 24-carat gold flakes" Said Mohammed Mohammed, the hotel's director in charge of food and beverage. 
The gold in the coffee is however, not edible and is expected to exit from the body a few hours after ingestion.
Inside the human body, gold is an inert metal and therefore not expected to react with stomach linings.
If you find Sh 5,500 as too much for a cup of coffee, think of the gold and again, this is Kempinski, not your ordinary hotel.
