Also in Thika, MP Patrick Wainaina has criticised the Mt.Kenya MPs opposed to the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) for rebelling against President Uhuru Kenyatta's call for unity.
He took an issue with 40 lawmakers who wrote to the Head of State expressing their displeasure over how he (Uhuru) has administered his government in his last term. They said maladministration has divided the country’s political scope.
The independent MP chastised the legislators for making complaints before the President addressed the region at Sagana State Lodge in Nyeri county on Friday.
“It’s time we become humble and learn to listen. If you come to Sagana and you get to hear what the president has for the region, the you will have all the time to react but for now, what are you responding to?” asked Wainaina.
