Cherangany Member of Parliament (MP) Joshua Kutuny has blamed the Deputy President William Ruto for failing to solve issues in Mau Forest yet he is the second senior most leader in the country.

Addressing a press conference at Parliament buildings on Wednesday, the MP said Kalenjins are suffering yet one of their own is in power adding that one of the main reason they formed government with others was to solve the issues of Mau Forest.

"If the Mau issue is not handled properly, it is going to tear Jubilee apart. We have seen President Uhuru Kenyatta waking up in the morning to solve coffee issues, but we have never seen the deputy president waking up to solve the issues in Mau," said Kutuny.

The MP further insisted that the government should carry out evictions in the area in a humane manner.

"There are questions that need to be addressed before evictions . Where is the report of the 21-member task force formed by former prime minister Raila Odinga in 2008? The docket was later moved to DP’s office," he said adding that the DP should produce the report.
