PS nominee for TVETs Esther Muhoria was sworn in as Embu County Secretary today

Dr. Esther Thaara Muhoria who has been nominated to serve as Principal Secretary (PS) in the Ministry of Education in the department of Technical Vocational Training Institutes (TVETs) is a lucky person.

She was sworn in as Embu County Secretary on Wednesday, November 2 after she was successfully vetted by the county Assembly.

She only served for hours before receiving the news of her nomination by the President.

Dr. Muhoria who is perceived to be very focused on matters of education and leadership having served as a register at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).

His eloquence before Embu county assembly committee on administration and public service moved the committee members that approved her name to serve as the County Secretary.

When she was being vetted for the position, she promised to help Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire deliver health services to locals and fight corruption.

"I will strive to fight corruption that has been eating our county and bring back the lost glory," she said before the assembly committee.

Embu residents celebrate PS nominee

Embu county residents celebrated the nomination saying she well deserved the position because she is not new in matters of education.

"From County secretary to PS. She is very lucky and I am very sure she will deliver," said Benson Kisilu a resident of Embu.

While confirming her nomination on phone she said she will put spirited effort to see that Technical Vocational Training Institutes which are at the heart of President is fully funded to facilitate learners to acquire the necessary skills which are required in job market.

"I will serve the country with dignity and dedication,I will push for full funding of TVETs," she said.
