Allies of Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka yesterday  rubbished claims he solicited a Sh3 billion bribe to join his ODM counterpart Raila Odinga’s Azimio La Umoja movement.

A lobby dubbed Friends of Kalonzo spoke in a media statement yesterday termed the claims propaganda, insisting he has not approached any formation with a price or imagined conditions.

“The character and conduct of Kalonzo speaks for itself and is above reproach. He is a man who has no single tangible scandal to his name after being in leadership for almost four decades.

Many Kenyans acknowledge Kalonzo Musyoka as the gold standard of leadership in Kenya being a God fearing and family man with impeccable values that he aspires to inculcate into the Kenyan system once he assumes the leadership of this country in the August 2022 General Elections,” read the statement.

A four-day itinerary seen by People Daily indicates that the caravan will cover Makueni County today where Kibwana will host his colleagues during the official opening of Makueni grain value chain plant at Makindu and later a political rally at Makindu town.

In the afternoon, the team will officiate the opening of Kikima health facility and thereafter address a rally at Mbumbuni town.

Makueni MP Dan Maanzo, an ally of Kalonzo, urged his supporters to dismiss the allegations as propaganda with the contempt it merits and stated that at no time has Kalonzo approached any formation with a price or imagined conditions.

“Many Kenyans acknowledge Musyoka as the gold standard of leadership in Kenya being a God fearing and family man with impeccable values that he aspires to inculcate into the Kenyan system once he assumes the leadership of this country in the August 2022 General Election,” Maanzo said in a press statement at parliament Buildings.
