Makueni: Man injured while struggling to enter girlfriend’s house
A middle-aged man in Makueni County is receiving treatment at the county referral hospital after he was seriously injured while forcing his way into his girlfriends house while drunk.
Simon Kioko, an Enforcement Officer at Makueni County Government was on Saturday, April 11 found lying unconscious outside his girlfriend's house in Wote, Makueni County.
The girlfriend Betty Symbua is in police custody at Makueni Police Station for interrogation.
Police say Kioko tried to enter Symbua's house while drunk but the door was locked from inside prompting him to break in.
“The man went to his girlfriend’s house while drunk, but the woman refused to open the door for him, prompting the victim to smash the window pane with his clenched fist in order to gain access to the house. As a result, he ruptured his artery thus bled profusely,” said Makueni Sub-County Police Commander Timothy Maina while speaking to KNA on telephone on Sunday.
Eye witnesses who sought anonymity told KNA that the two lovers were seen quarrelling on Saturday afternoon over unknown matter before the night drama.
