Man arrested in Hurlingham for selling fake Viagra drugs

Sleuths from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) on Friday arrested a man for selling counterfeit Viagra drugs.

The DCI officers with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board agents nabbed Peter Cummings Thatia at Hurlingham, Nairobi, and confiscated counterfeit Viagra Pro capsules.

"Acting on a tip-off from members of the public, DCI sleuths based in Kilimani accompanied by Pharmacy and Poisons board officers have this evening nabbed a 47yr old man namely Peter Cummings Thatia, atrader in counterfeit medicine within Hurlingham in Nairobi County(sic)," the police said in a statement.

The police also confiscated machines believed to be used for manufacturing the drugs, advertising fliers, and a Nissan Note car.

The suspect will be charged with unlawfully manufacturing and selling counterfeit medicines, the police said.
