Lawyer Miguna Miguna who has been living in exile in Canada since 2018, yesterday attended a church service in Ahero, Kisumu where the clergy urged him to forgive his political enemies.

Bishop Joshua Owiti of St Peter’s ACK church in Ahero told Miguna to be slow to anger.

“Allow me to say that our Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love,” said Owiti quoting the Book of Psalm 145: 8.

Miguna returned to his ancestral home in Nyando in Kisumu County on Friday afternoon. Miguna arrived at Kisumu Airport on Friday and hit out at those who pushed him into exile.

Re-energised

“I want to thank God that finally I’am back. Some despots had colluded to kick me out of my own home and country. I am now here. And Not by privilege but by right,’’ said Miguna

ODM leaders said they were not happy with Miguna because of his attacks  their leader Raila Odinga.

Miguna who was only given limited time to address the congregation insisted it was his constitutional right to speak without being gagged.

“As long as I confine myself to the rule of law, I will fearlessly speak the truth that will set this country free,” said Miguna

He thanked President William Ruto for allowing him to return home.

“I wish to express my gratitude to the church and to the President of the Republic of Kenya  William Ruto for keeping his word to facilitate my return back home. I am greatly indebted to this country. Thank you Kenyans who have stood with me in the liberation struggle,” said Miguna.
