Mizizi Africa Homes honoured best low cost housing developer

Mizizi Africa Homes was honored as the best low cost housing developer in Kenya during the third Real Estate Excellence Award.

Speaking after receiving the award in his office Mizizi Africa Homes Chief Executive Officer, George Mburu said that the award is reflective of the firm’s commitment and dedication to providing high quality, decent and affordable housing solutions in line with government’s Big 4 Agenda on housing.

“We are very pleased to receive this recognition of our efforts especially in a tough year that we strived to deliver our maiden project within deadline amid the COVID-19 pandemic and launched additional projects that customers have shown tremendous interest in,” said Mburu.

The awards are meant to recognize and celebrate the key players in various areas of the real estate sector, who have over the years achieved excellence results and impacted positively the lives of their clients.

Last year the company emerged the winner for the most promising developer category during the second Annual Real Estate Excellence Awards.

“From the most promising developer to the best low housing developer shows how we have significantly grown to be a trusted brand in delivery of affordable housing to Kenyans.”

The developer handed over its first project, Penguin Estate in October, and will by end of January 2021 be handing over its second project, Heritage Phase 1, currently 80 per cent complete.

Mega projects launched by the firm in 2020 have advanced and modern features consisting of extra private room that can be used as a library or office, and spacious parking area at very competitive rates.

They include Peacock Phase 1(sold out) that comprises seven maisonettes and 21 bungalows, Peacock phase 2, a mix of bungalows and maisonettes, and comprises 28 units. Heritage phase 2 and Pigeon estates.

“As we move to the next year, we are looking into even robust partnerships to introduce better affordable financial solutions as part of our strategy to ease and see more Kenyans own their dream homes,” said Mburu.

The Real Estate Excellence Awards now in its third year, recognizes and celebrates key players in the real estate sector who have over the years achieved excellent results and have positively impacted the lives of their clients.This year’s Award Gala event was withheld due to impact of COVID-19 restrictions.
