Moses Kuria arrested in night raid

Gatundu North Legislator Moses Kuria was arrested in the evening of Monday, April 12, and is being held at Karuri Police Station, Kiambu.

Through a short post on his social media page, Kuria revealed that he was arrested living out other crucial details on what exactly had transpired.

Arrested! Held at Karuri Police Station. Kiambu Court tomorrow,” Kuria posted.

However, sources close to the parliamentarian and privy to the Monday, 12 incident say Kuria was apprehended for flouting COVID-19 regulations put in place by the GOK. 

It’s intimated that Kuria was holding a series of political meetings at a hotel along the Northern Bypass before his arrest.

Sources close to the law maker revealed Kuria was discussing the upcoming Juja by-election in which he’s fronted an aspirant from his People Empowerment Party.
