Mozzart Bet, Serbia-based firm, has launched an ambitious water project in Imbo village, Homa Bay County in an initiative seeking to provide clean water.

In Nairobi, the company is targeting communities in the informal settlements with an ongoing programme to sink more boreholes as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility in the wake of shrinking opportunities in the betting business, partly due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the company’s Marketing Manager, Frank Ochieng’(pictured), they have so far commissioned the Imbo project.

“We are very proud to launch our first water project in the great county of Homa Bay. Through this initiative, Mozzart aims to give back to the society by delivering clean water to communities,” he said.

Speaking in Nairobi yesterday, Ochieng ‘ said the company hopes the project, including donations valued at Sh10 million towards Covid-19 pandemic alleviation, will make a difference for vulnerable communities.

“Mozzart Bet Kenya has been operating in Kenya for three years and is honoured to be able to show solidarity with the Kenyan people and provide support for communities especially during this trying period of Covid-19,” he added.

Part of donations the company has invested in include provision of medical equipment for 10 hospitals in the country.

“To offer support to healthcare facilities during these terrible times, Mozzart has invested Sh10,000,000 worth of medical equipment to help fight Covid-19 in Kenya,” he said.

Some of the healthcare facilities targeted are in Nakuru, Siaya, Kisii, Embu, Nyandarua, Baringo, Bomet, Kisumu, Kakamega and Kitui counties.
