Makueni County Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jnr has urged Kamba leaders to plan themselves in order to help the Kamba people.

Speaking in Mbooni Constituency where he had attended a burial ceremony, Governor Mutula stated that they have to fulfil the promises they made to the Kamba people during the campaign period.

"We told Kamba people they won't be out of the government again unfortunately we are out but we should now plan what next for our people to benefit," Mutula said

Kilonzo also pointed out that he had predicted that the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition would not win the presidential election petition.

"How could we have won the case yet we had failed even to have agents during the election time"? Mutula said

At the same time, Mutula highlighted that the Thwake dam and Konza Techno City projects still need support from the national government for them to be complete.

He also acknowledged that the voting exercise for the Senate speaker was historical after the current Speaker Amason Kingi garnered 46 votes.

"There is no speaker who has ever been elected with so many votes yet we always need 24 votes to pass a motion," Mutula said.
