Naivasha sub-county hospital to dispose of unclaimed bodies

Naivasha sub-county hospital has issued a 21 day notice to relatives whose kin’s bodies are lying at their mortuary to collect them failure to which they will dispose them in a mass grave.
In a notice signed by Ezekiel Bowen for the County Public Health Officer, the hospital management noted the 15 bodies had exceeded the set time limit thus overstretching their services.
The move comes barely three months after the facility disposed of another 20 bodies that had lain unclaimed for more than four months adversely affecting their operations.
According to the list of the bodies, majority of them died while undergoing treatment in the hospital while others were brought in by police.
