Nandi county governor Stephen Sang now wants the Supreme Court censured for what he says is attempting to legislate from the bench and issue judgments on LGBTQ to please western nations.

The county boss called on the bench to review its decision saying the judgement went against the cultural norm and risks tainting future generations.

"It is very sad that the majority of the judges at the Supreme Court who supported the same-sex ruling on relationships and association are the women judges. Surely, where is our society heading?" Sang posed.

The controversial Supreme Court judgment remained at the centre of discussions across the country with governor Sang criticizing the bench for giving a nod to the registration of the LGBTQ associations saying it would taint the moral fabric of the nation.

"I take the courage in the fact that only three judges of the Supreme Court decided, two dissented while the other two were absent. We will go back with the religious institutions and we will request the Supreme Court in its full bench of seven to review the decision," Sang said.

The second-term governor wondered why the majority of women in Apex Court could support the decision yet they ought to have been in the frontline championing the right morals as mothers.

"As leaders, we will institute a review of the ruling with a view of saving our young people from improper exposure. This is very wrong even in our Nandi culture," Sang added.
