Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya was out to inspect government projects in Trans Nzoia.

For two days, he inspected infrastructural projects within the region’s five sub-counties that includes road networks, education institutions and the Kitale Airstrip among others.

While at it, he attributed delays in the completion of most of the projects to delays in funds disbursement occasioned by harsh economic times.

"Some of the contractors have deserted the projects for lack of financing but this will be sorted soon," Natembeya who chairs the Rift Valley Regional Development Implementation Committee, said.

The administrator also held a consultative forum with the business community in Kitale town and others at the Suam border in Endebess Sub County where a business center will be set up on a 24-acre piece of land.

He also challenged the area county government to work on completing unfinished mega projects in order to actualize the dream of devolution in the region.
