Drama as minister sends EACC on wild goose chase

A Cabinet Secretary is on the spot for inviting the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate a government institution over corruption allegations.
When the EACC launched a probe it did not find a shred of evidence against the institution.
A senior official at the anti-graft body visited the CS’s office to ask if he had any evidence incriminating the institution but he did not offer anything tangible.
He had to eat humble pie and admit that he had no evidence.
