Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department at Milimani law courts will facilitate digital system during the hearing of a case of former State House Digital Communications Director Dennis Njue Itumbi who is charged with making a false document without authority.

Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku on Wednesday allowed the case to be postponed to March 22 after the court was told that the witness, who was to testify in the case, was unwell.

State Prosecutor Anderson Gikunda told the court that they were not ready to proceed with the case because of the unavailability of the witness.

“The witness is unwell and unable to come to court today. We wanted to call the investigating officer to testify but the defense want to first finish with that particular witness,” he told the court.

Itumbi’s lawyer did not oppose the application for adjournment but noted that they were eager and ready to proceed with the matter.

Magistrate Mutuku directed the matter to be heard on March 22 and 26 and directed ICT system to be provided to the defense on that day.
