Kalonzo presents Sh3m cheque to COVID-19 response team

Wiper Democratic Movement Leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday presented a cheque of Sh3 million and 10 tons of assorted food stuff to the COVID 19 emergency Response Fund Chair Jane Karuku.

This follows the successful launch and subsequent support by the Friends of Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation (KMF) of KMF Food Basket initiative towards COVID-19 pandemic.

For the last two weeks, KMF offices in Karen have been a beehive of activities with friends and leaders flocking to fill the KMF basket.

On Thursday, the first delivery of 10 tons and Sh3 million has been achieved.

During the handover ceremony of the cheque at the KICC, Kalonzo urged the team to capitalize on the good will of Kenyans who are contributing the littlest they have to alleviate the suffering of their fellow Kinsmens.

"Always be mindful of the need to remain transparent we are happy this team is composed of captains of industry, because as we face-up to this challenge its important Kenyans are kept informed of what is happening and want to see transparency especially  this time we are faced by this tremendous challenge," said Kalonzo.
