Kenya confirms 538 new coronavirus cases

Kenya has confirmed 538 new coronavirus cases after 6,195 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, Health CAS Rashid Aman announced on Thursday.
This now takes the total number of cases in the country to 24,411.
Of the new cases, 516 are Kenyans and 22 are foreigners.
Some 333 males are males and 205 are females.
Nairobi takes the lion share at 277, Kiambu 72 and Kajiado 55. The rest are distributed across the country.
A total of 514 patients have been discharged, taking total recoveries in the country to 10,444. Of the new discharges, 431 were on home-based care and 83 were in hospital.
"On a sad note, eight patients have died. We now have a total of 399 fatalities from the virus," Rashid said.
