Kenya records 127 new COVID-19 cases

Kenya has confirmed 127 new coronavirus cases after 2, 247 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman announced on Tuesday.

This takes the total number of cases in the country to 2, 989.

Of the cases, 123 are Kenyans and four are foreigners.

They are between age three weeks and 72 years.

Sixty two of the cases are from Nairobi, Mombasa 34, Busia 14, Machakos 4, Bungoma 3, Kwale 1 and Uasin Gishu 1.

"We have discharged 24 patients. The total number of recoveries from the disease in now at 873," Rashid said.

Three more patients have died, taking the total number of fatalities to 88.
