Kenya records 25 new COVID-19 cases, 7 recoveries

Kenya has confirmed 25 new cases of coronavirus, Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman said on Thursday.

This brings the total cases in the country to 607.

Of the new cases, 22 are Kenyans, one Ugandan, one Chinese and one Tanzanian.

Seventeen of the new cases are from Nairobi, Wajir (2), Kajiado (2), Migori (1), Isiolo (1), Nakuru (1) and Mombasa (1).

"Seven more patients have been discharged. That brings the total discharges in the country to 197," CAS said.

Three more COVID-19 patients have died in the past 24 hours, bringing total deaths from the disease to 29.

"Two of the patients we have lost are from Nairobi and one from Mombasa," Aman said.
