Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki on Monday surrendered to Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) officers in Nairobi days after Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji ordered his arrest over alleged irregular Sh34.9m tender.
The tender was awarded to Westomaxx Investment Limited.
The firm allegedly received the amount to supply, install and commission a solid waste incinerator in the financial year 2018-2019.
Westomaxx Investment Limited allegedly used fraudulent documents to win the tender.
Six other credible companies had expressed interest in the multi-million shilling project.
