National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) in conjunction with the Ministry of Interior has launched a two-day peace caravan in Kisii County.

Flagging off the caravan yesterday, County Commissioner Allan Machari said the campaign was aimed at ensuring next month’s elections are peaceful.

NCIC Commissioner Dorcas Kedogo (pictured) underscored the need for every Kenyan to maintain peace, saying ordinary people would be the biggest losers if chaos was to erupt before, during or after the General Election.

She urged candidates for various positions in the county to be cautious in their campaigns and be ready to accept the outcome of the elections.
