Ndindi Nyoro was cautioned against attending my ceremony by UDA officials – Moses Kuria
Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has accused the top brass of Ruto's United Democratic Alliance of cautioning members of the nascent party against attending his thanksgiving ceremony that was held at Thika Stadium, Kiambu county.
Kuria revealed that he had invited Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, who is an avid supporter of Deputy President William Ruto, to partner with ex-Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando as a Master of ceremonies at his much-hyped event.
The vocal politician stated that Nyoro and other Ruto-affiliated politicians who he had invited received express instructions from officials of UDA party, cautioning them against attending the Thika Stadium event.
"When I organized this event, I called Honourable Kabando Wa Kabando telling him that I wanted him to be a joint MC with my friend Ndindi Nyoro. But because there are certain quarters that believed that this event will be political, UDA officials convened a meeting and warned them from attending my event," he said.
Kuria however acknowledged the attendance of UDA Secretary Legal Affairs Edward Muriu. He claimed that the lawyer graced his event despite being cautioned by top officials of the Ruto-led party.
The lawmaker, who has been out of the country seeking treatment after he suffered burns on his legs, remained non-committal about the coalition he will be backing in the Uhuru succession politics.
Kuria, who is also the party leader of the new fangled Chama Cha Kazi party, stated that he is currently keen at selling his party to the electorate in the Mt Kenya region and providing a platform for upcoming politicians who have been dwarfed by seasoned politicians in big political parties.
