Ndindi Nyoro: We are not going to bow to intimidation
Kiharu Member of Parliament (MP) Ndindi Nyoro has said that the leaders affiliated to the Deputy President William Ruto will not bow to any intimidation.
Ndindi said the ongoing restructuring in the National Assembly is only targeting close allies of Ruto and is meant to demean them.
Speaking in Murang'a on Saturday, the MP said he has nothing to lose even if he is removed from the Public Accounts Committee in which he is a member.
He said they are yet to be told what the DP did for it to become a crime to be affiliated to him.
"Anybody who is seen to be a close associate of Ruto is treated with contempt and we have some leaders who go ahead to insult us" he remarked.
The said all the leaders who are in Jubilee party joined out of free will due to its policy, but few elements are not taking this as a personal entity.
"We are all equal and thus deserve fair treatment and nobody should undermine the other" he said.
The MP said Ruto played a big role in the formation of the Jubilee government and this should be upheld all the time.
"I can confidently say that were it not for Ruto, President Uhuru Kenyatta would not have taken that seat," he said.
Ndindi said the ODM leader Raila Odinga is to blame for all the chaos in the party and he is causing the turbulence for his own interests.
"Raila has his plan laid down and all that is happening was predetermined because he thrives when there are chaos" he added.
"Odinga is like the proverbial camel, he came to our party and now he wants everybody out so that he can fix his people in various positions" said the MP.
He claimed David Murathe and Francis Atwoli are also being used to cause a stir in the party to make it ungovernable.
"We cannot allow few people to hold us at ransom just because they want to propagate their political agenda, this county belongs to all of us and we have equal rights," he remarked.
"This is our party and we are going to defend it to ensure it survives the storm because we are here to stay" he said.
"We know there is a political outfit already in place, but for us our plan A, B and C is to stay in Jubilee and we are not going to allow anybody to dictate the future of this country because it belongs to all of us" he added.
"Truth be said that people are not happy and any leader who cares to listen to them should do so" he remarked.
