Oscar Sudi reacts on Uhuru – Ruto relationship
Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has come out to castigate remarks by President Uhuru Kenyatta asking his deputy to resign instead of criticising the very government he serves.
Sudi’s sentiments comes hours after Kenyatta in a meeting with media editors dared DP Ruto to resign if he is dissatisfied with his leadership.
Through his social media pages, Sudi also urged the president to openly share the truth about his relationship with his DP once they solve their issues.
‘’Why are you asking the DP to resign and yet you did not appoint him? Sudi posed. We supported both of you and if you want him to resign make a phone call to Ruto and agree the next step to be taken," Sudi said.
President Uhuru Kenyatta broke his silence on issues revolving around his relationship with his deputy, William Ruto.
However, the sentiments by the President did not turn out well with Sudi and those allied to the Deputy President
‘’You claim to foster unity, but you couldn't host a single party general meeting since 2017. We blame you for all our poor economy because as MPs we had no forum to tell you the reality in ground,’’ Sudi said.
According to President Uhuru, the DP has been focusing on his presidential ambitions, something he says is his constitutional right, and at the same time sabotaging his agenda to the people of Kenya.
President Uhuru further added that the BBI issue could have contributed to his sour relationship with the DP.
He noted that the DP was seemingly opposed to his handshake deal and bid to unite the country by bringing opposition leaders on board.
However, according to Sudi, the President wreaked havoc in his own party by devaluing those allied to his deputy and going on to embrace the opposition.
‘’Wakenya waliokupigia kura wamechoka na wewe hasa wanainchi kutoka Mlima Kenya kwa sababu uliamua kuwafilizisha wote (Kenyans who voted for you are tired, especially those from the Mt. Kenya region)," Sudi added.
