Otichilo pledges to work with his rivals

Vihiga governor-elect Wilberforce Otichilo has promised to work with his rivals to steer Vihiga forward.

Speaking in Chavakali, Otichilo, who ran on an ODM party ticket, asked his rivals to concede and focus on moving Vihiga in a positive direction.

"I'm very much for the great support you gave me by giving me a second term," he told his supporters.

"Let's join hands and focus on making Vihiga great again."

To his rivals, governor Otichilo said, " And to my competitors, I am ready to join forces with you in pushing for Vihiga's development."

Otichilo emerged the winner by garnering 82,313 votes beating first governor Moses Akaranga, senator George Khaniri, outgoing Sabatia MP Alfred Masadia Agoi and Francis Ominde.
