Central Organization Trade Union(Cotu) Secretary General Francis Atwoli has warned Kenyans against electing Deputy President William Ruto as president in the forthcoming general elections saying he is a tribal 'lord' who will endanger other communities.

Atwoli said Ruto perceives the Rift Valley region as his property and a home reserve for his community only, warning that he is an awaiting time bomb seeking an opportunity to divide Kenyans on a tribal basis.

He claims that Ruto directs his political sycophants to insult other leaders and incite Kenyans while pretending to preach politics of unity.

"If we allow Ruto to be president, so many communities will suffer," he said.

Speaking at his Ildamat home, Kajiado Central, Atwoli sensationally claimed that Meru Senator Mithika Linturi's 'madoadoa' remark is a red alert of how Ruto and his brigade intend to divide Kenyans.

"Reject UDA and Ruto. UDA is composed of criminals. What Linturi said is not his own thinking but Ruto's words. UDA wants Kenya to go back to 2007. All Kenyans in their right thinking should totally ignore UDA," he said.
