Desperate times for de-whipped, broke MP

An MP who was recently dewhipped from a key parliamentary position is feeling the heat of the demotion.

Without the perks that came with the post, the MP is broke.

He was overheard telling his colleague how now he has to look for funds elsewhere to sustain his lifestyle.

So bad is his situation that recently he requested a journalist who had contacted him for a comment to call him back as he had no airtime.

The re-introduction of NTSA inspectors across the country is a bitter pill to swallow for the illegal matatu operators along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway.

Operators offering nonregistered courier services using passenger vehicles had thrived, with some even ferrying passengers to and from the capital using clandestine routes, disregarding the restriction of movement by the government.
