Ford Kenya leaders from Trans Nzoia county have said the party is considering extending a purge to all branches to rid the party of  rebels who have been rocking the party from within.

The officials led by the party lawyer Benson Milimo said the recent move that replaced rebels was the only way of restoring the glory of the lion party in preparations for the 2022 elections and beyond.

"You cannot march into the battleground with a divided team of disloyal soldiers who may end up betraying the course . We now have a new team of  officials charged with the full mandate to revamp the party ahead of the 2022 general elections," he said.

He said a decision to kick out those who aided coup plotters to cause confusion within the party rank will not be reversed and told the traitors to instead go and dine with their masters.

Kiminini Member of Parliament Dr. Chris Wamalwa noted that the party was ready for a recruitment drive all over the country, saying loyalty was of paramount importance.

Dr Wamalwa added that the party had taken a painful decision which would  enable the party put focus on winning majority slots in county assemblies , Senate and National Assembly.

Kwanza legislator Ferdinand Wanyonyi who is also the Trans Nzoia county Chairman was hopeful that the party would secure majority ward slots during the 2022 elections.

"We can’t allow Judas Iscariots to rock the Party from within as it has been for some time. I'm assuring all and sundry that we are more than ready now to face the challenge and come out with a long lasting solution , and the solution is axing all traitors," he said during an interview with the People Daily in Kitale.
