One Kenya Alliance Principals have ended hopes of reuniting with ODM leader Raila Odinga after revealing that they will sign a coalition agreement that hinders them from joining any political coalition.

There have been suggestions that the group would team up with Raila to form a political vehicle that would face Deputy President William Ruto in the 2022 General Elections.

Reports now suggest that OKA technical committee is working round clock to have a coalition agreement signed by the principals as soon as possible.

The agreement will bring together six senior political bigwigs in the country including ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka, Kanu's Gideon Moi, Ford Kenya's Moses Wetangula, and Cyrus Jirongo who recently joined the group.

Kimilili MP Chris Wamalwa, a senior member of the OKA's board, said that the technical committee has finalized the coalition's instrument which seeks to bind the principals together.

“The principals had the opportunity to look into the agreement and they will soon sign it,” Wamalwa.

The news about the coalition agreement comes a day after Kalonzo Musyoka once again vowed to never again back Raila in his quest for the presidency. He said that it is time for the ODM chief to support him having done the same for him in the last two elections.

The Wiper leader also urged Raila to retire from politics noting that he is old enough to go home.

"Raila should go home alongside President Uhuru ahead of the 2022 General Elections. He is way older than other presidential candidates," he said.

Kalonzo expressed confidence that OKA is becoming a serious challenger in the 2022 contest noting that other political parties are willing to join them.

He promised a political storm come December this year.
