Nominated Member of Parliament David Ole Sankok has threatened to block Azimio la Umoja Movement and ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga from the August 9, presidential race.

Speaking in Eldoret over the weekend, Sankok claimed that Odinga does not deserve to lead Kenya.

“I have constituted a battery of lawyers to represent me in a case where I want to bar Raila Odinga from contesting in this year’s election,” Sankok claimed.

Sankok alleged that the former Prime Minister 'failed the integrity test when he orchestrated the 1982 unsuccessful coup de tat' as well as taking the oath of office in 2018 after our president Uhuru Kenyatta won elections.

“Declaring yourself the Head of State and taking the oath of office is a serious crime that amounts to treason and therefore he ( Raila) should not be allowed to contest,” he said.

The vocal lawmaker claimed that Kenya Army Forces will not hand over power to any person who has committed an offence of treason and asked Raila not to contest.

Sankok was speaking while drumming up support for Deputy President William Ruto, his party United Democratic Alliance UDA and his Bottom Up economic model.

“Our presidential candidate William Ruto has a clear agenda of transforming this country’s economy through his famous bottom-up economic model. In fact, United States of America President Joe Biden is talking about it,” he reiterated.

He asked Kenyans to join UDA saying the party has a national outlook.
