Jubilee party Secretary General Raphael Tuju has revealed that Kieleweke Mps pushing for his ouster from the helm of the party's leadership, are hell bent on controlling the party's hundreds of millions that will arise from nominations.

The CS, who was speaking to a local daily, stated that the Uhuru-allied lawmakers have guised their selfish move as a fight to rejuvenate the ruling party.

"The Mps think having control of the party machinery will secure tickets. The noise comes with the territory. There are substantial resources. They think being at the helm gives one control over the resources," the CS without portfolio said.

Tuju's revelation comes in the backdrop of a recent meeting of Kieleweke MPs, that resolved that the party would only regain its influence in the Mount Kenya region if the top brass are shown the door.

The lawmakers wrote to the Head of state beseeching him to salvage the ruling party from an imminent oblivion.

Their clamour for change came after the party lost to Ruto's UDA party in the Kiambaa by-election.
