President Kenyatta urges leaders to embrace handshake

President Uhuru Kenyatta has appealed to all leaders across the country to uphold integrity and endeavor to unite the country.

Speaking at Olkinos Isinya while attending the burial of Mzee Daniel Ole Muya, the president said leaders should unite to help realize the country development.

The president said all leaders should embrace the handshake, engage in dialogue and respect one another.

He said the country cannot be governed by an individual leader but selfless united leaders.


"I am a proud member of jubilee. We have political parties but no political party want divisions. We should all strive to make our country better through unity of purpose and brotherhood and create a small haven for all regardless of their tribe,"

The president that achieving development for the country is only possible if leaders are united and do not discriminate against against each other.

He eulogized the late Ole Muyaa as loving, caring and peace maker icon.

Others present at the burial of the former councillor included Kalonzo Musyoka, Cotu SG Francil Atwoli,Kajiado governor Joseph Ole Lenku, Environment CS Keriako Tobiko,Kajiado East Mp Peris Tobiko and a host of other leaders.
