Prime Heist: Bank robbers disarm two officers, steal unknown amounts of cash(Video)
Six armed robbers on Monday afternoon stole an unknown amount of money from Prime Bank Mombasa Road mobile branch after disarming two police officers.
According to a police report, the robbers disarmed the two police officers and entered a truck belonging to Prime Bank mobile banking services and took away two cash boxes full of money.
The report filed at Embakasi Police Station indicates that each of the robbers was armed with a pistol.
The robbers also stole an unknown amount of money from a Prime Bank cashier before escaping in two motorbikes. They injured a security guard during the day light heist.
A video of the robbery shows one of gang members manning the gate with one of his hands fixed at his waist.
Police are pursuing the robbers.
