Azimio la Umoja - One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga claims there is an attempt to interfere with servers holding the results of the 2022 presidential election.

Speaking during a prayer meeting at Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's farm in Yatta on Friday, May 26, 2023, the former prime minister alleged that leaders in government, who he did not name, had hired 2,000 hackers to manipulate data in electoral servers.

Raila warned that the opposition was watching and would not hesitate to take action.

"Tulisikia sijui waliweka vijana elfu mbili ambao wanajaribu kubadilisha maneno ndani ya hiyo server. Tunawaangalia, tunawaona, tunawaambia mtaona mkicheza (We heard that they engaged some 2,000 youth to interfere with the electoral servers . Let them know that we are watching them. We are telling them they will see if they play)," Raila warned.

Raila insisted he was rigged out in the last presidential poll, saying the only way to verify the results of the poll is to allow an independent audit of the servers of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

The opposition claims President William Ruto did not win the election and that the Azimio brigade does not reorganise him as President.

Raila on Friday said remarks by a section of Kenya Kwanza leaders including Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale that the issue of servers was settled by the Supreme Court during the hearing of Azimio's petition last year were misleading.

Raila noted that what was opened on the Supreme Court's orders were ballot papers, not servers.

"Hizo masanduku si server, bwana Khalwale rudi shule (Those boxes are not servers, Mr Khalwale go back to school)," he said.
