Raila honoured in colourful event for sacrifices, strides in uniting Kenya

ODM leader Raila Odinga has been honoured in a colourful event for sacrifices and strides he made towards the fight for democracy.

In an event held at Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi, Raila said he was overwhelmed with the turn of events that made him feel regal.

"I am overwhelmed by what I am seeing today. I thank the organizers of this function and the robes I have been clothed it makes me feel very regal," Raila said.

Raila was also recognised for his role towards peace, championing unity, and development in the country.

During the ceremony organised by Hekima Kaka Society, notable leaders led by media mogul SK Macharia thanked Raila for his exemplary leadership.

Agnes Salome founded Hekima back in 2008 to address the plight of the boy-child and men in Kenya.

Earlier today Raila was in Rift Valley where he was received by a mammoth crowd.

The former premier while speaking at 64 stadium in Eldoret said it’s clear the country is more united after the grand entry of the rich voting bloc, believed to be allied to Deputy President William Ruto.

According to Raila it was evident from the massive crowd that received him in Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu county the country was coming together as one.
