Raila: I’m not in hurry to declare my candidature

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga has said he is not in hurry to declare his candidature for next year's presidential bid.

Speaking in Homa Bay on Saturday, Raila said President Uhuru Kenyatta and him were in a journey to unite Kenyans ahead of the polls.

"Our goal is to return Kenya to where our founding fathers left it," he said.

Raila praised the March 2018 Handshake between him and the President, saying it has brought peace in the country.

"I’ll push for the economic policies we started with President Mwai Kibaki," he added.

He also urged his supporters to register as voters when IEBC initiates mass registration in October.
